[00:00:00] I'm Erica Lynn and we all know the ocean is the most demanding environment on earth,
[00:00:05] consistently testing the reliability and durability of our equipment.
[00:00:09] When you spend as much time fishing as I do, you know that reliable gear is essential for
[00:00:12] staying on the water.
[00:00:13] This is why I went with Abyss Battery to power my Chilling Motor, Electronics, and Outboard.
[00:00:18] The guys at Abyss Battery are rattling the saltwater industry by manufacturing performance
[00:00:23] marine batteries specifically designed for sonar, outboards, chilling motors, and electronic
[00:00:27] fishing reels. All right, welcome back to the survival and basic badass podcast, Kevin and Chuck. Today, well, we're going to talk about farms. We're going to talk about the whole world food system.
[00:01:43] We're going to you telling us what to do and you keep making bad decisions over and over
[00:03:02] again.
[00:03:03] I mean, fair.
[00:03:05] Exactly, right?
[00:03:06] You know, you're not. All right. So I guess the big panic is in 2010, we had 7 million people in the world.
[00:05:28] I mean, I think, I mean, to be fair, to be fair, he is promoting vasectomies, condoms and birth control.
[00:05:30] I remember his vaccine that accidentally sterilized all the women.
[00:05:36] There was that.
[00:05:37] Right.
[00:05:38] Accidentally.
[00:05:39] Accidentally.
[00:05:40] Because, you know, who didn't see that coming?
[00:05:41] I mean, I didn't see it coming.
[00:05:43] I had no idea.
[00:05:44] And then there it was.
[00:05:45] Yeah.
[00:05:46] I actually got my COVID vaccine and my dick fell off. Basically want everything to be less than that doesn't sound horrible on the surface until you realize what i find concerning is the act like food is the biggest problem at least you know when that trick though, because it's big, nerve damage is the thing it like, it's really toxic. Yeah, and I mean, the thing is, if you keep a little bit, yeah, like right on the edge of starvation, if you keep people extremely poor, then they have no choice. You know what I mean? That's the only option to survive another day or two, you
[00:08:22] know,
[00:08:24] another day or two, you know, whatever's not really their plan. And yeah, but I do have a solution.
[00:09:40] It turns out.
[00:09:41] Okay.
[00:09:42] Now, because they want to shrink the population and they should go to the suicide chamber, you know For the good of all mankind for the good of all mankind turn them into turn them into food Now that's the thing like the American school says cycle reuse. Yes See, maybe that's where those slogans really came from. I see it
[00:11:02] So that's that's one of the whole planet and everything dies and whatever.
[00:12:24] But it turns out, I feel like that's. John Kerry had some insight. He was speaking to the UN about this and he was like, look, we need to cut everything by 30 years. I got to say, this is just going to bring a whole tirade of emotions for me after you hear it. It is about a minute, so it's tough because it is John Kerry, the most enthusiastic man in America.
[00:13:45] Hold on, hold on, see what you think. to both warm the planet while also expecting to feed it. Doesn't work. So we have to reduce emissions from the food system to keep the 1.5 degrees alive. Why do we have to keep 1.5 degrees alive? Because scientists, as a basis of physics and mathematics, not ideology and politics or party labels or anything else,
[00:15:03] as a matter of time if we didn't change everything. Everybody knows that global warming leads to New York City being buried under glaciers. study, I think that said the carbon footprint of the homegrown food is five times greater than those grown conventionally. Now they were talking about in the suburbs. If you read the whole article, it was a lot about like, if you had raised beds, that because you bought the stuff to make raised beds, and somehow
[00:17:43] you're like throwing it like, well, this isn't what they mean. This isn't their real agenda. Remember that what that clown up in Canada was always like, oh, I'm not really after your guns. I'm not coming for, I don't want to ban them. I just want to make sure you a breakdown. Like it's dried crickets, it's mealworms, it's grasshoppers, it's whole crickets. These things are pretty much, but you get into the grocer stuff like black soldier flies, house flies,
[00:20:20] wax moths, even cockroaches, right? They give them all these Well, let's talk about France. We all have seen the protests going on in France and I don't think anybody's really aware of what's going on. Farmers in France, the EU's biggest agricultural producer, say they're not being paid enough
[00:21:40] and are choked by excessive regulation on environmental protection. them over, you can either make it a farm or make it nothing, and you can control how much food is being produced. It really is a system of control. A lot of people think that this is like a battle between global warming and the health of our planet versus balance and shit like that. I don't think so. I think it's about control. It's about controlling the population. It's about controlling.
[00:24:02] I don't know that there is a cow manure in there. It all looked like human shit.
[00:24:04] There is toilet paper floating up and who knows what, you know?
[00:24:09] But that's the thing.
[00:24:11] I 100% agree with you is it all comes down to control.
[00:24:16] And the big thing is, you know, we've been preaching since the beginning of time, you
[00:24:21] know, as loud as I can say it and for 500 bucks. Right. And I know that 500 bucks sucks compared to 50, but whatever, you know, like,
[00:25:40] I mean, I'll be, I'm talking about over a whole year, you know, we're
[00:25:44] talking about two dollars a day.
[00:26:41] my wife is doing things like. Yeah, let's be honest.
[00:26:42] I'm not the same way.
[00:26:43] I have a great garden that my wife takes.
[00:26:46] You know, I look at my farm.
[00:26:48] Let me go out and take some pictures.
[00:26:50] I get on the tractor and till it though,
[00:26:52] like nobody's business.
[00:26:54] Let me tell you.
[00:26:55] Right.
[00:26:55] Once I sit here, he's out there.
[00:26:57] Once a year, I'm like,
[00:26:58] I'm sorry.
[00:26:59] It's hurt.
[00:27:00] Nothing.
[00:27:02] But that's the thing.
[00:27:04] It's so, I mean, man, they are.
[00:27:07] They're coming after guns again. Still are kind of crappy on getting you efficient solar and whatever. It's getting better every year. We're getting closer It's even pretty close to where it's it's starting to be a good idea But the independence it gives you from the grid But you want to find a setup that you're gonna be in control of you know How many people have know, you can only do so much, you know, I can't have everything, but I can cover little things. You know, and that's over and over again, what we keep preaching is the you want to find a way that you can, you can get closer every day. I don't know, but I have supplies." And then the government comes and says, Hey, yeah, we decided to tell everybody all at once that we're going to make you all register your guns and bring them all out. Yeah, I don't like that one. I don't like this one. And why don't you just give them all to us? But the thing is, I've even heard of stories of,
[00:31:02] we've seen them pass that stuff where they, you know, go into the hutch. It's not like you have to chase around the yard and shit. They know nighttime comes and it's time to, you know, time to get inside. Well, I had about five chickens that didn't recognize that it's time to go inside. I'm going to go sleep in a tree instead thing. But after the Fox got about three of them,
[00:32:24] the other two were like, you know what? It on that. I don't know what actually worked. So I set up a Hawk netting and my wife read somewhere, got some sort of idea about CDs. You hang them from a tree and they just kind of spin around and reflect everywhere.
[00:33:41] I'll be honest with you, it fucks me up sometimes.
[00:33:44] You know, turn around like the mayhem country living YouTube channel. I gotta say he's got a lot of great stuff on there He's always doing living the outdoor life, right? That's what always inspires me. Oh
[00:35:03] Anyway, Darren there but uh
[00:35:05] anyway, you uh, you got to do something where
[00:36:07] thing, you know, that, hey, let's build fires and hang out in the woods and shoot guns and do things. You know, that's, to me, that's exciting and awesome. Let's eat ribs. You know, let's do man things, cook over fire. And, you know, that's exciting to me. But you need to
[00:37:22] and fellowship, you know, the hanging out with each other, the business networking, they do the things that you love,
[00:37:27] then that's awesome.
[00:37:29] You know, then that's great.
[00:37:30] You can create the world that works for you.
[00:37:34] And I think that's really where we need to go.
[00:37:36] You know, they're coming after all this stuff
[00:37:39] and it just is one more, you know, sign
[00:37:42] that you need to step up your game
[00:37:44] and be able to take walk around your property. But they're gonna have to work a lot harder to get mine than they are to just take the burger off the grocery store shelf. You know, that's what it comes down to. Yeah, I don't know. I'm gonna have to start raising cattle
[00:39:00] because I don't know if I'm gonna be able to go without
[00:39:02] beef. You know, chicken is great. Rabbids great. I like pork,
